PRIVATE STUDIO ART LESSONS
Tap into your creativity and learn new skills through private 1-on-1 art instruction customized specifically to your skill level and interests. Learn to observe the world as an artist does. Build your artistic skills by learning and practicing the fundamentals of painting and drawing, composition, value, form, and color. From the very beginner to the experienced artist, you will receive personalized art instruction based on Boston School Impressionism methods. A materials list will be available prior to the first class.
CLASSICAL DRAWING
You will be taught how see the world in abstract shapes and use those shapes to create the foundation of your drawings. The beginner or experienced student will benefit from exercises which are designed to improve drawing skills, with an emphasis on line, mass, composition, proportion, form, and mark making. References to the Boston School methods are used throughout as you draw from direct observation.
REPRESENTATIONAL PAINTING
Whether you are new to art or experienced, learn the Boston School impressionist method of oil painting from a seasoned professional artist. You will learn the best practices of the Boston School master painters which will help you establish a foundation for your work through the use of color relationships, light, atmosphere and form. You will create tools which will give you an in-depth understanding the concepts of impressionist representational painting.
Lessons scheduled based on instructor/student availability. Private instruction rate is $50/hour paid at each lesson. Rate is $45/hour if 12 hours are paid in full at first lesson.
