WORKSHOPS

Join me for my all-inclusive art workshops! All materials and lunches are included for both days for each workshop, with a discount option if you provide your art supplies.  See details below.  This is a “no judgement” space where you can try something new and have fun while learning some basic art skills. These workshops are for ALL LEVELS from beginner to anyone who wants a refresher. We’ll work together to simplify aspects of representational drawing and painting through instructor demonstrations, direct observation, and learning to see like an artist. Minimum age is 13 years.

COLOR HARMONY IN OIL PAINTING
COLOR HARMONY IN OIL PAINTING
JUN 8, 2024, 9AM-4PM
Location: NTFA STUDIO
Fee: $250 per person, includes personalized instruction, all art materials & lunch ($230 if you have your own materials).

Get ready to paint all day!  Similar to color coordinating what a person wears, a color plan in oil painting unifies and balances your composition. The morning will start off with a brief discussion focused on seeing color unity in a composition. Using master paintings, we will make color thumbnails to see the "color play" which is how colors relate to each other in the whole picture. You will learn what makes an interesting composition by painting an oil study from observation with a focus on color harmony.
